Truro, being the capital of Cornwall, often hosts a festive market with a variety of stalls offering local crafts, food, and gifts. The Truro Christmas Market is one of the county’s largest and features a mix of local crafts, festive foods, and seasonal entertainment. The market is typically set against the backdrop of Truro Cathedral at Lemon Quay. Every Wednesday between 29 November and Sunday 24 December 2023 from 9am – 5pm every day (with late night shopping on Wednesdays until 9pm)

2. Fowey Christmas Market

Featuring local crafts, food, and gifts. The scenic setting adds to the festive charm of the event. Fowey Christmas Market: Fowey is a picturesque town in South East Cornwall, and its Christmas market usually features a range of local products and crafts. Friday 8th Dec 5.30pm – 8.30hrs, Saturday 9th Dec 10am – 5pm and Sunday 10th Dec 10am – 4pm.

3. Tavistock Dickensian Evening & Christmas Market

Tavistock’s Dickensian Evening is a festive event featuring a Christmas market, entertainment, and a delightful Dickensian atmosphere, The smell of chestnuts cooking on steam engines will waft through the streets bringing excitement to children and adults alike. Shops will be open late, and the town will come alive with entertainment on every corner. The town transforms into a festive wonderland, featuring a Christmas market, entertainment, and a joyful atmosphere. Friday 1st December from 5pm. Christmas light switch-on at 5:45pm.

4. Looe Christmas Market

Looe, a charming coastal town, will have a Christmas market offering seasonal goods and local specialties. The market will run on Saturday 2nd December, Saturday 9th December, Sunday 10th December from 10am – 3pm and there will be a craft market the following Saturday on the 16th December from 10am – 3pm,  come along to get those special little gifts for the ones you love or why not treat yourself to something..

5. Exeter Christmas Market

Set against the backdrop of the stunning Cathedral, Exeter Christmas Market features a variety of stalls offering crafts, gifts, and festive foods. 6. Plymouth Christmas Market

Located on the Piazza in the city center, Plymouth Christmas Market typically showcases a range of local and international products, including crafts, food, and decorations. 7. Ilfracombe Christmas Market

Running Friday 25th – Friday 24th November 2023 Ilfracombe Christmas Market, with stalls, food vendors, live music and entertainers throughout the street.  The Christmas market continues on the 26th & 27th November at the Landmark from 10am-4pm.

8. Padstow Christmas Festival

Known for its festive atmosphere and culinary delights, the Padstow Christmas Festival usually includes a Christmas market, demonstrations by top chefs, and a lantern parade. The Padstow Christmas Festival is an annual event which will be looking forward to its 15th year. The event usually takes place from the first Thursday of the month of December, this year landing on Thursday 7th until Sunday 10th December.

9. Lostwithiel Dickensian Evening

While not a traditional Christmas market, Lostwithiel’s Dickensian Evening is a festive event featuring a Christmas market, entertainment, and a joyful atmosphere During this event, you can expect to find a variety of stalls offering seasonal goods, crafts, local products, and delicious treats. The town is often decorated with Christmas lights, and there may be live performances, carol singing, and other festive activities.
