1. Lansallos Beach, Near Looe
Tucked away amidst lush cliffs and rolling greenery, Lansallos Beach is one of those hidden gems in Cornwall welcoming both two-legged and four-legged visitors alike with open arms.
Its secluded nature provides a tranquil escape for dogs to roam and play freely along the pristine sands, also head along the headland either direction to discover quiet coves and inlets where pups and humans can paddle freely to their heart’s content. The beach offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for peaceful walks and leisurely paddles in the gentle waves.
Restrictions: Dogs allowed all year.
Parking: for Lansallos Beach can be found at the nearby National Trust car park, with a short 20-minute walk leading down to the shore, the amazing woodland and beautiful valley below make it well worth the journey.
2. Harlyn Bay, near Padstow
With its expansive stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear waters, Harlyn Bay stands as a very popular haven for dogs and their owners seeking seaside adventures. This dog-friendly beach boasts ample space for furry friends to run, while the gentle waves beckon both swimmers and surfers alike. The tide only comes partway, meaning the beach is accessible for walks at all times.

Parking: facilities at Harlyn Bay include a spacious car park located just a stone’s throw away from the beach, offering convenient access for visitors and their canine companions.
3. Daymar Bay, Near Polzeath
Nestled along Cornwall’s rugged coastline in-between Polzeath and Rock, Daymer Bay enchants visitors with its breathtaking beauty and dog-friendly charm. Dogs are welcomed with open arms on this sandy shore, where they can enjoy endless games of fetch and who-can-dig-the-biggest-hole as well as leisurely strolls beside their owners.
Here you can find a wide expanse of rock pools to explore at low tide on the north end of the beach.

4. Lantic Bay, Near Fowey
Tucked away along Cornwall’s picturesque coastline, Lantic Bay beckons both dogs and their owners to explore its pristine shores and azure waters, that is if you can manage the hike back up!
This secluded beach offers a peaceful oasis for furry friends to roam and play amidst the unspoiled beauty of nature, and is said to be one of the most beautiful in Cornwall – a sand and shingle beach in a cove cut into the cliffs.

Parking: for Lantic Bay can be found at the National Trust car park about 15 minutes walk away, with a steep scenic coastal path leading down to the beach, be careful going up and down and take time to stop to enjoy the view, please note the carpark is small and can be busy!
5. Seaton beach, near looe

This beach is fully accessible as there is no climb up or down to it. Dogs are welcomed year-round on this expansive stretch of coastline, where they are free to roam and splash in the shallows.
This family-friendly beach boasts a large cafe, restaurant, pub, playground, shop and toilets, it has everything you need for a memorable day out with the pooch. There is even a stunning countryside walk that leads into Seaton Valley Woods.
