This Autumn stay with us at Lynmouth holiday retreat, as Exmoor National Park comes alive in a way that’s truly out of this world.
From Friday 17th October to Sunday 2nd November 2025, the Exmoor Dark Skies Festival returns; a celebration of astronomy, nature, and night-time adventure for all to be explored.
Exmoor was the first place in Europe to be named an International Dark Sky Reserve, and with good reason. On a clear night you can spot the Milky Way, distant galaxies, and countless constellations; all with the naked eye. Add guided walks, storytelling, foodie feasts, and creative family fun all in the local area, and you’ve got the recipe for a magical autumn escape.
The best part? You can enjoy it all while staying at Lynmouth Holiday Retreat with our optional Coast & Country telescope hire*; the perfect base for exploring Exmoor by day and the stars by night.
*When booking accommodation, please pre-book telescope prior to your arrival by emailing lynmouth@coastandcountryparks.co.uk
