Wow wow wow, We had dinner at The Carps on Christmas Eve and it was absolutely incredible. The food was so fresh, clearly made with local produce, and full of flavour. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully cooked. Combined with the warm, traditional pub atmosphere and fantastic service this is now a true gem and somewhere we’d happily return to!

We will be spreading the word!

Well done carps team ⭐

What a gem of a pub! This is not your average pub grub, the food is really something special. So much thought and imagination has gone into the menu. A great range of local beers, from the pubs own independent brewery no less. Generally a lovely vibe, friendly staff and a fire always on the go, what’s not to love.

Super lovely spot! The new menu is unreal, something for everyone and it really feels like a ton of work has gone into it. We had a bunch of snacks and small plates - mussels escabeche, sourdough & cultured butter, homemade venison & pork sausage with beetroot ketchup 🤤 Definitely going back. Great service, friendly & clearly care.

See you again Carps!

Such a lovely pub! It’s been newly renovated and it’s so cosy and welcoming. We tried the new bar snacks menu and everything we ate was amazing… the care put into sourcing ingredients and using local suppliers was evident and it’s so nice to have that from a local pub. Great beer and great vibes

Beautiful old pub, cosy and so welcoming! It has just been taken over by a very enthusiastic team and we can't wait to go back and sample the food once the restaurant opens. Friendly staff, great surroundings and very dog friendly too 😊
