Approaching from the East (Minehead/Porlock):

• Stay on the A39, following signs for Blackmoor Gate / Barnstaple / Lynton (B3234).
• Avoid narrow private lanes or “Local Access Only” turn-offs.
• Our entrance is on the right side of the A39, just past the Exmoor Manor Hotel.

Approaching from the West (Recommended for towing):

• Exit M5 at Junction 27 onto A361 toward Barnstaple/Tiverton.
• After 12 miles, exit A361 and follow signs for A399 toward Combe Martin/Ilfracombe.
• Continue on A399 for 19 miles; at Blackmoor Gate, join A39 toward Lynton/Lynmouth.
• In Barbrook, pass Gulf Petrol Station on the right and continue uphill.
• Entrance is on the left, just before Exmoor Manor Hotel.

Final Arrival:

Look for our sign for Lynmouth Retreat on the A39. If you reach or pass the Exmoor Manor Hotel, you have missed the entrance.

Approaching from the East (Plymouth):

• Take the A38 westbound towards Cornwall, crossing the Tamar Bridge.
• At the Carkeel roundabout continue on the A38 towards Liskeard.
• Just before reaching Landrake, turn right following signs for Notter Bridge.
• The entrance to Notter Bridge Holiday Park is on the left immediately after this turn, just before the bridge.

Final Arrival:

Look out for the Notter Bridge Holiday Park sign at the entrance. If you reach Landrake village, you have missed the turn-off.

Approaching from the West (Liskeard):

• Take the A38 eastbound towards Plymouth.
• After passing through Landrake village at the bottom of the hill, take an immediate left following signs for Notter Bridge.
• Take the first left into Notter Bridge Holiday Park.
• If you reach the Carkeel roundabout, you have missed the turn for Notter Bridge. When turning for Notter Bridge, be sure to take the left immediately before the bridge; otherwise, you may end up at Notter Mill Holiday Park.

Approaching from the East (via M5 / Tavistock)

This route takes you through the historic town of Tavistock and over the River Tamar.

• Follow the A386 into Tavistock.
• At the town centre, follow signs for the A390 towards Callington/Liskeard.
• Cross the river at Gunnislake New Bridge (please note: this is a narrow bridge with a steep climb following it).
• Continue uphill on the A390 through Gunnislake and into St Ann’s Chapel.
• After passing the Texaco Garage on your right, our entrance is located approximately 200 yards further on the left-hand side.

Approaching from the West (via Liskeard / Callington)

This is the most straightforward route for those traveling from within Cornwall.

• From the A38, follow signs for the A390 towards Callington.
• At the Callington roundabout, stay on the A390 signposted for Tavistock.
• Follow the A390 for approximately 3 miles into the village of St Ann’s Chapel.
• Slow down before arriving into St Ann’s Chapel, as the entrance to our Holiday Park will be immediately on the right hand side before the Texaco Garage on the left. If you have passed the Texaco garage you have gone too far.

Sat Nav Warning

When using our postcode TA8 2SE, most systems will lead you directly to us. However, please ensure your route keeps you on the main B3140 (Coast Road). During peak season, the coastal road can be busy, so please allow extra time for your journey.

Recommended Route (Via the M5 – Junction 22)

This is the easiest and most reliable route for all vehicles, including motorhomes and those towing.

1. Leave the M5 at Junction 22, signposted Burnham-on-Sea / Brean.
2. At the roundabout, take the B3140 towards Burnham-on-Sea / Berrow / Brean.
3. Continue straight across the next roundabouts, following signs for Berrow and Brean.
4. Stay on the B3140 as you drive through Berrow village.
5. As you enter Brean, the road becomes Coast Road.
6. Continue past Brean Leisure Park on the right.

Yellow Sands Holiday Park is located shortly after on the left-hand side, directly on Coast Road (beach side).

Approaching from Weston-super-Mare

There is no bridge across the estuary, so you must head inland first.

1. Leave Weston-super-Mare on the A370 southbound towards the M5.
2. At the East Brent roundabout, turn onto the B3140 towards Berrow / Brean.
3. Follow this road through Berrow and into Brean.
4. Continue along Coast Road.

The park will be on your left-hand side shortly after passing Brean Leisure Park.

What are the guidelines for hot tub use at night?

We kindly ask guests to refrain from using hot tubs after 10 PM to maintain the tranquil and peaceful nature of our parks, in line with our noise curfew. Please be considerate of those around you and keep noise levels down after this time.

Is early check-in available?

Yes, early check-in is available where possible. The fees are as follows:

• Camping and Touring: £10.00 for check-in from 12 PM (standard check-in time is 2 PM).
• Holiday Caravans/Lodges and Glamping: £20.00 for check-in from 2 PM (standard check-in time is 4 PM)

How can I request early check-in?

To check availability for early check-in, please call us or send us an email.

Is late check-out available?

Yes, late check-out is available when possible. The fees are as follows:

• Camping and Touring: £10.00 for check-out up to 12 PM (standard check-out time is 10:30 AM).
• Holiday Caravans/Lodges and Glamping: £20.00 for check-out up to 12 PM (standard check-out time is 10 AM).

How can I request late check-out?

To check availability for late check-out, please call us or send us an email.

What time can we check-in for our stay?

You can check into:

* C&C holiday accommodation (e.g., our glamping pods and bell tents, holiday lodges and caravans, and holiday cottages) from 4pm.

* Touring caravan, motorhome and tent pitches at Lynmouth Holiday Retreat from 2pm.

When you arrive, please check in with Reception.

If you are likely to arrive much later in the evening, please contact us prior to your arrival to allow for arrangements to be made.

Are the hot tubs private?

Our hot tub accommodation is designed to give you a more secluded and relaxing experience, perfect for romantic escapes.
Levels of privacy can vary slightly depending on the accommodation you choose, but each hot tub is positioned to help you enjoy your stay in comfort. If you are looking for something especially private, please contact us and we’ll be happy to guide you towards the best option.

Are there hot tubs or king-size beds?

Yes, selected accommodation includes those extra touches that make a romantic stay feel even more special.

Across our parks, you’ll find a range of cosy and luxurious features including private hot tubs, and comfortable king-size beds in selected accommodation. Availability does vary, so we recommend checking individual listings to find the stay that feels just right for you both.

Can we arrange champagne, flowers or a hamper for arrival?

If you’re planning a surprise or celebrating a special occasion, please get in touch with us before your arrival.

While extras may vary by park and season, we’ll always do our best to help make your stay feel extra special where possible. It’s worth contacting our team in advance to discuss what may be available for your arrival and if you need to order in beforehand, we can have it ready in your accommodation.

How private is the accommodation?

Our parks are designed to feel peaceful, spacious and relaxing, so you can truly switch off together.
While some accommodation may be within view of neighbouring holiday homes, each stay is set up to give you your own comfortable space to unwind and enjoy quality time together. If privacy is especially important for your break, we recommend getting in touch before booking so we can help you choose the most suitable option.

What time is check-out?

Please check out of:

* C&C holiday accommodation (e.g., our glamping pods and bell tents, holiday lodges and caravans, and holiday cottages) by 10am.

* Touring caravan, motorhome and tent pitches at Lynmouth Holiday Retreat from 10:30am.

On your departure date, we’d be grateful if you could: leave the accommodation or pitch in the condition you found it, take any rubbish to the nearest recycling point on park, and hand your keys and barrier passes into Reception before the check-out times above.

What should I do in the event of emergency?

In the event of an emergency during your C&C stay, call 999.

For non-emergency enquiries, call 101.

Please consult your Welcome Pack (sent in the days just prior to your arrival) for details of the nearest police station.

Where do we check-in?

Can we have an early check-in?

Sorry, we do not currently offer this facility.

What do I need to bring to check-in?

When checking in, please bring your booking reference and remember the name the booking was made in. This will help make the process quick and easy.

How old do I have to be to book a holiday?

You must be at least 18 to book a holiday with C&C. There must be a minimum of one responsible adult staying with each booking.

No persons under 18 years of age may stay in C&C holiday accommodation without an accompanying adult unless specifically arranged at the time of booking.

What is the deposit and when is the balance due?

A 20% deposit is due when making your booking with Coast & Country. The balance is due 28 days prior to your booked arrival date.

Is the park and facilities accessible?

Yes, the majority of park common areas are wheelchair accessible. We also have a disabled shower and toilet facilities for guests at Lynmouth Holiday Retreat. Please ask at Reception for further information such as locations and how to access.

We have also re-laid many of the footpaths around our parks, including associated lakeside, woodland and nature areas, to make them more accessible for wheelchair and pushchairs, to allow more people to enjoy the tranquillity of Coast & Country locations.

Do you take tents?

Yes, at Lynmouth Holiday Retreat only.

Can I request a particular pitch?

We do not reserve particular holiday accommodation or pitches prior to your arrival, so regretfully we cannot guarantee you will be near your friends or family. We advise that you aim to arrive early to maximise your chance of securing a pitch where you most want to stay, no earlier than our specified check-in time.

What is the maximum size touring caravan or motorhome I can bring?

The maximum unit size we can accommodation is 9m (29ft).

Please note that awnings must extend no further than 2.5m (8ft) from the side of your touring caravan or motorhome.

Are dogs and other pets allowed?

C&C parks are dog friendly and pets are welcome in most areas, with a maximum of two dogs per caravan.

Please keep dogs on a short lead under strict control around all holiday accommodation. Dogs may not be left unattended anywhere on a C&C park at any time, including inside your accommodation. Please note that you are responsible for your pets at all times, including cleaning up after them and keeping noise to a minimum to avoid disturbing other guests.

We reserve the right to ask the owner of any dog which causes a nuisance or threat to remove it from the park immediately. We cannot accept any breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

Are linen and towels included in my holiday accommodation?

Linen and towels are included where stated on your specific accommodation listing, and beds will be made up ready for your arrival. As this varies by accommodation type, please check the individual page for the accommodation you’ve booked to confirm what’s included.

At the end of your stay, if possible, please feel free to bundle up all the bedding to help our housekeeping team.

Are the hot tubs checked regularly?

Yes, there are checked daily from 8am.

Please note that on the day of departure, the hot tub will be emptied from this time to prepare for the next guest.

Hot tubs are not be used after 10pm.

Are there adders on Exmoor?

Yes, Exmoor is home to the UK’s only venomous snake, the adder. However, sightings are relatively uncommon and adders are shy animals that prefer to avoid people.

They’re most often seen basking in sunny heathland between spring and early autumn.

If you’re walking with children or dogs:

• Keep dogs under control, particularly in heathland.
• Stay on established footpaths.
• Never approach or attempt to handle wildlife.

Adder bites are very rare. If your dog is bitten, contact a local vet immediately. If a person is bitten, seek urgent medical attention.

Are there any breed or size restrictions for dogs?

We welcome up to two dogs per booking across our parks.

There are no size restrictions, however we cannot accept any breeds listed under the UK Dangerous Dogs Act. We also ask that all dogs are kept on a lead around the park and under control at all times to ensure a peaceful stay for all guests.

Are there any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees during the process of buying a holiday caravan or lodge.

The process allows the buyer and park owner to deal directly, so there are no third-party fees.

During the process, there are several elements to budget for:

* Annual Pitch Fees – This includes the security and management of the park, your local authority rates contribution and waste management.

* Utilities – On our parks, these are metered, so you are only charged based on your usage.

* Insurance – All holiday caravans and lodges must be insured.

Are there any other costs or fees when purchasing a holiday home?

No! There are no fees or costs when purchasing a holiday home, like solicitors or estate agents fees. The entire sales process is handled directly by the team on park.

Could also add that all caravans are priced sited, connected and with decking included (unless otherwise stated).

Are there places on the park where we can walk our dog?

Yes, each of our parks offers dedicated spaces where you and your dog can stretch your legs;

• Notter Bridge Holiday Park – enclosed dog walking area and woodland walking trails.
• Tamar View Holiday Park – a scenic dog-walking trail around the perimeter of the park.
• Lynmouth Holiday Retreat – a designated dog-walking field where your dog can enjoy some space to explore.

These areas make early morning or evening walks easy and convenient during your stay.

Are there quiet scenic spots or romantic places to eat nearby?

Yes; all of our parks are set in beautiful surroundings, with plenty of peaceful places to explore together nearby.

From scenic walks and coastal viewpoints to cosy pubs and intimate restaurants, there are lots of ways to make your stay feel special beyond your accommodation. Whether you’re planning a relaxed evening meal, a sunset walk or a full day out together, our locations are ideal for romantic moments at your own pace.

Are there ticks on Exmoor? Is there a Lyme disease risk when walking?

Yes. Ticks can be found across Exmoor National Park, particularly in long grass, heathland and woodland during spring and summer. While only a small percentage carry Lyme disease, it’s always worth taking sensible precautions.

If you’re exploring Exmoor or walking with your dog:

• Stick to marked paths where possible.
• Wear long trousers if walking through long vegetation.
• Check yourself, children and dogs for ticks after your walk.
• Remove any ticks promptly using a tick removal tool.

The risk is low, but being tick aware helps you enjoy Exmoor safely. If you develop a circular rash or flu-like symptoms after a tick bite, seek medical advice.

Are touring caravan, motorhome and camping pitches hardstanding?

Some pitches are hardstanding. Please select whether you would like to book a hardstanding pitch at the booking stage.

Are you glamping units wheelchair accessible?

At present our glamping units are not wheelchair accessible and have steps to their entrance. They are also not designed to accommodate the use of a wheelchair inside.

Are your parks pet friendly?

Yes! All of our park’s welcome pets.

We do insist that they are kept on a lead at all times around the park and that they are not left on their own in your holiday caravan or lodge.

Can I bring a rescue dog with separation anxiety on holiday?

Absolutely. Many guests stay with rescue dogs who simply enjoy being together.

We recommend:

• Never leaving your dog alone in the accommodation.
• Bringing familiar bedding and favourite toys.
• Keeping to your normal routine.
• Choosing dog-friendly attractions where your pet can come too.

North Devon has miles of dog-friendly beaches, walks, cafés and pubs, making it easy to holiday together.

Can I bring an assistance dog?

Yes.

Recognised assistance dogs are welcome at all Coast & Country Parks. If you have any specific requirements before your stay, our team will be happy to help ensure your holiday is as comfortable as possible.

Can I extend my stay?

Yes, if we have availability.

For our Static caravan accommodation your stay will need to extend to a normal changeover day, therefore extending by 3, 4 or 7 nights.

For Glamping, camping and touring you can extend by any amount of nights you choose, as long as your accommodation/ pitch is available.

Can I fish at Notter Bridge Holiday Park?

Yes. Guests staying at Notter Bridge Holiday Park can enjoy fishing on the park’s private lakes, making it a relaxing way to spend time outdoors.

Please check current fishing rules before casting your line.

Can I live in my holiday caravan or lodge?

We do not allow any owner to live on site or class their holiday caravan or lodge as their main residence.

This would be a breach of your site license and of our park license to the local authority.

Our holiday parks are open for a minimum of 10 months per year, providing a wide window in which to use it.

Can I live permanently in a holiday home?

No.

Holiday homes are designed for recreational and holiday use and cannot be used as your permanent residential address.

Each park has its own holiday season, and owners must maintain a permanent residential address elsewhere.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Please call us direct if you would like to amend a booking.

If we have availability to make the changes we will, whether it be date changes or adding extra guests we will endeavour to do so.

Can I park my car on my touring / camping pitch?

Yes, there is space to park one car on your touring / camping pitch, alongside any touring caravan and/or awning.

There is a small charge for additional cars. Please contact Reception for more information. Let us know when you book or check in if you have an additional vehicle and we can let you know where to park.

Can I put my awning up?

Yes. Awning extending up to 2.5m from your touring caravan, motorhome or care can be put up for an additional nightly charge. We recommend using heavy duty awning pegs if pitched on a hardstanding surface.

Can I reach Tamar View Holiday Park by train?

Yes. Tamar View Holiday Park is easy to reach by rail.

Take the scenic Tamar Valley Line to Gunnislake Station, which is approximately one mile from the park. From there, you can arrange a local taxi for the short journey.

The Tamar Valley Line is considered one of Britain’s most scenic railway journeys, travelling through beautiful countryside and crossing historic river valleys.

Can I receive a supermarket food delivery on the park?

Supermarket food deliveries are not permitted on park due to restricted commercial vehicle access for our guests’ safety.

Can I rent out my holiday caravan or lodge?

We do not allow owners to rent or sub-let their holiday caravan or lodge. We do allow friends and family to use it, at your discretion.

Can I rent out my holiday home?

Your friends and family are more than welcome, but it cannot be a holiday let. We offer a quieter atmosphere on holiday parks, with familiar faces of other holiday home owners. If all owners could sublet, we wouldn’t be able to guarantee that all owners could manage their guests as well and respectfully as each other. This also allows us to keep our site fees lower. If there were more owners renting out their holiday homes, we would need to have a bigger team, which would increase your site fees.

Can I rent out my static caravan when I’m not using it?

No.

Holiday homes at Coast & Country Parks are for owners, their family and invited guests only. Private subletting or holiday letting is not permitted.

This helps maintain the peaceful atmosphere across our parks.

Can I sit on the hot tub when the lid is closed?

Please do not sit, stand or lie on the hot tub lid as they are not designed to support a person’s weight.

Can I stay near my friends or family?

We do not reserve particular holiday accommodation or pitches prior to your arrival, so regretfully we cannot guarantee you will be near your friends or family. We advise that you aim to arrive early to maximise your chance of securing a pitch where you most want to stay, no earlier than our specified check-in time.

Can I stay on park before buying, similar to ’try before you buy’?

Absolutely, in most of our parks, we have holiday lettings. We would recommend coming for a holiday with us first, to make sure this is the perfect holiday home and holiday park for you.

Can I swim in the river at Notter Bridge?

Swimming in the River Lynher at Notter Bridge isn’t officially managed as a designated bathing area.

Water conditions, currents and depth can change quickly, so anyone entering the river does so at their own risk.

Always supervise children, avoid swimming after heavy rain and never dive into unknown water.

Can I upgrade?

If we have availability we are more than happy to upgrade your accommodation.

Please call us direct to discuss your options.

Can I use the hot tub if I am pregnant or have a heart condition?

Please consult your GP before using the hot tub if you are pregnant, suffering from any form of heart disease, circulation problems or any serious illness.

Can children use the hot tub?

Please supervise children in the area of the hot tub at all times.

Do not allow children under the age of 8 years old or those unable to keep their head above the water level when sitting in the hot tub to use it. (Whilst the minimum recommended age in Health & Safety Executive guidance is 4 years of age, C&C recommends 8 years.)

Can our family and friends visit us?

Yes, for the day only, but please register their presence on park at Reception upon their arrival.

Can we have a BBQ?

Yes, you are welcome to have BBQ’s. We ask that any barbecues are raised off the ground and we provide bricks for this purpose.

Can we have a BBQ?

BBQs are permitted, but we ask that you not place them directly onto the ground, decking or picnic benches as this may cause damage. Please dispose of them responsibly.

Our Notter Bridge guests may wish to make use of the sheltered BBQ area located in-between the fishing lake and woodland reserve. Please leave this area as you would wish to find it. You may leave the disposable BBQ in the bins provided “

Can we have drinks in the hot tub?

Please do not rest any glasses on or near the hot tub – broken glass is almost invisible under water.

Any broken glass found in the vicinity of the hot tub will result in the hot tub being drained to check for glass. Please use plastic glasses instead.

Can we place candles around the hot tub?

We want you to have a relaxing stay with us but please do not place candles on the hot tub – candle wax can damage the filter system.

Can we play music in the hot tub?

Please respect your neighbours and do not play loud music, or shout or scream outside. Hot tubs may not be used after 10pm.

Can we put up a gazebo?

No. Due to fire regulations and the need to maintain separation between holiday accommodation and pitches, we do not allow gazebos to be put up anywhere on park. Awnings extending up to 2.5m from your touring caravan, motorhome or car are allowed.

Can we use bubble bath or shampoo in the hot tub?

Please do not add anything to the hot tub. Bubble bath, shampoo, gels, soaps, oils, salts etc. can seriously affect the water quality and filter system.

Can you accommodate guests who have accessibility needs?

Can you walk from Lynmouth Holiday Retreat to the Valley of Rocks?

Yes. One of Exmoor’s most popular walks starts directly from Lynmouth Holiday Retreat.

The route is approximately 2 miles each way and follows the South West Coast Path with stunning sea views before reaching the famous Valley of Rocks, home to wild goats and dramatic cliffs.

Allow around 45–60 minutes each way depending on your pace.

Do I have to keep my holiday caravan or lodge for the full license period?

The site license at the time of purchase is our commitment to you. There are however, several options available to:

* If you are enjoying the park and your time with us, there is the option to upgrade to a new holiday caravans or lodge, with a new site license.

* If circumstances change, you can sell your holiday caravan or lodge to the park or to a new prospective buyer, who will have the benefit of the remaining years on the site license.

* Let a friend of family member take over the license.

Do I need a fishing licence to fish on a private fishing lake in Cornwall?

Usually not.

Most private fishing lakes operate under their own rules and permit system, meaning an Environment Agency rod licence is generally not required.

Always check the specific rules for the fishery before fishing.

Do I need a separate TV License?

No, this will fall under your primary residential property.

Do I need to pay council tax?

No! Council tax is not applicable to holiday homes on holiday parks, and the equivalent business rates the park pays are included in the annual site fees.

Do Site Fees Increase over-time?

Our pitch fees only increase in line with inflation annually, in accordance with our Trade Association, HARPA. For the 2026 season, our average increase in annual pitch fees across our parks was £140.

Do you have WiFi?

Yes, WiFi is available at all C&C locations. Information on how to connect to our local WiFi network will be provided upon check-in.

Please note that all C&C holiday retreats are in rural locations and that we cannot always guarantee a strong WiFi signal.

Do you need a permit to canoe or kayak on the River Tamar?

Some stretches of the River Tamar have public access, while others require permission from the landowner or navigation authority.

Before launching a canoe, kayak or paddleboard, check local access arrangements and always respect wildlife and other river users.

Do you offer finance?

We do not offer finance ourselves, however, we have partnered with Pegasus Finance, who specialise in finance for caravans and lodges. Do let us know if you would like their assistance and we can connect you.

Do you pay council tax on a static caravan?

No.

Holiday caravans on licensed holiday parks are generally not subject to council tax because they are not permanent residential properties.

Instead, owners pay annual site fees, which contribute towards maintaining the park and its facilities.

Do you provide dog bowls, beds or welcome packs?

At the moment, we are sorry but we do not provide welcome packs, we ask guests to bring their dog’s usual bowls, bedding and comfort items so they feel right at home during their stay!

Do you provide highchairs/ travel cots?

Unfortunately we don’t.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Does EE, O2, Vodafone or Three have signal on Exmoor?

Mobile coverage across Exmoor varies depending on your network and location.

Generally:

• EE often offers the widest rural coverage.
• Vodafone performs well in many villages.
• O2 has reliable coverage in larger settlements.
• Three can be more limited in remote valleys.

Does the holiday accommodation have an iron and ironing board?

No, but you can find an iron and ironing board available in the laundrette on the park, along with washing machines and dryers.

Does the holiday accommodation have heating?

Yes, all C&C holiday accommodation has heating inside which you can set according to your own preferences.

Please note that, as a canvas structure, the Glamping Bell Tents may get cool inside overnight at colder times of the year. While bedding is provided, you may wish to supply additional blankets.

How can I cancel?

If you need to cancel your booking for any reason please contact us direct either by email or telephone where we can cancel your booking.

How do I report lost property?

If you realise once you have left us that you may have left something behind, please call us.

Every effort will be made to locate the missing item, however we are not liable if this isn’t possible or if it is damaged.

When we find your item we will return it to you, but you will be asked to cover the postage cost.”

How do the utilities work when it comes to ownership?

This is also in accordance with our trade association and Ofgem, we can only recharge our owners for utilities at the same rate we are charged by our energy suppliers. You are only ever charged based on your usage and meter reads…

How do you keep hot tubs safe and clean?

We are delighted to offer a range of holiday accommodation with hot tubs for your relaxation and enjoyment. You need to be aware of the following if you are considering booking a hot tub holiday.

*Prior to your arrival, your hot tub will have been completely emptied, cleaned and refilled to maintain the required standards of cleanliness. Re-heating the volumes of water involved takes time so we cannot guarantee that your hot tub wo;; be at its optimal operating temperature (between 37°C and 39°C) immediately after your have checked into your accommodation.

* We test both chemical balance and water quality a minimum of twice a day.

* We have some age restrictions. No child under 8 years should use the hot tub and it is your responsibility to supervise all minors between the ages of 8 and 16 years if allowing them use of the hot tub as they are more susceptible to over-heating.

* Respecting your neighbouring holiday guests, we have to insist that you do not use your hot tub after 11pm and ask that when doing so after 10pm that noise be kept to a minimum.

* We insist that for your own health and safety and that of your party, that you observe some simple rules, the details of which are listed in our Policy Pack, available on our website.

How long can I have my holiday caravan or lodge for?

The site license will vary from each caravan to lodge.

New holiday caravans are offered with a 15-year site license, whereas a new lodge is offered with a 25-year site license.

Pre-owned holiday caravans and lodges can vary.

How long does a static caravan last?

With regular maintenance, many modern static caravans can last for decades.

The lifespan depends on factors such as construction quality, how well it’s maintained and the terms of the park licence.

Looking after your holiday home with routine servicing can significantly extend its life.

How long should we stay in the hot tub?

Limit your time in the hot tub to a maximum of 20 minutes at a time – extended use can cause dizziness and fainting.

How many people can I have staying on my pitch?

We allow a maximum of 6 people per pitch.

How many vehicles can I park outside my holiday accommodation?

There is parking alongside your holiday home for one car.

If you bring more than one car you may need to use additional parking provided, however we cannot guarantee this will be near your holiday home.

How much does a holiday caravan or lodge cost?

We have a wide array of caravans and lodges across our parks available, with caravans starting from as a little as £19,995 right through to luxury holiday lodges, which can start from £90,000.

I have a large touring caravan or motorhome, will I fit on the pitch?

The maximum unit size we can accommodation is 9m (29ft).

Please note that awnings must extend no further than 2.5m (8ft) from the side of your touring caravan or motorhome.

Is Lynmouth Holiday Retreat open all year?

Lynmouth Holiday Retreat is open for holidays throughout much of the year, allowing guests to enjoy North Devon across multiple seasons.

Autumn and winter stays are especially popular for coastal walks, cosy pubs, dramatic scenery and stargazing on Exmoor.

Is Whitsand Bay safe for swimming?

Whitsand Bay is a beautiful beach, but swimmers should take care.

Conditions can change quickly due to:

• Strong tides
• Rip currents
• Large waves

Always swim between lifeguard flags when RNLI lifeguards are present, check tide times before visiting and avoid entering the water during rough conditions.

Is cooking equipment included in C&C holiday accommodation? Is there a microwave?

Yes, all C&C holiday accommodation save for the Glamping accommodation is full equipped with pots, pans, utensils, cutlery that you will need during your stay. They also have a fridge, hob and microwave.

Is it possible to buy a holiday home while I’m staying with you?

Of course, please ask at reception for information on which units we have for sale.

We will be more than happy to arrange viewings and answer any questions you may have.

Is it subject to Stamp Duty?

No, because it is a holiday home and not a residential property, it is SDLT exempt.

Is parking available?

There is parking alongside your holiday home for one car.

If you bring more than one car you may need to use additional parking provided, however we cannot guarantee this will be near your holiday home.

Is the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway wheelchair or pushchair accessible?

The historic Cliff Railway welcomes many visitors with wheelchairs and pushchairs, although accessibility can vary depending on individual needs.

Staff are happy to assist where possible, and accessible entrances are available. Because it is a Victorian railway, some limitations remain.

If you require step-free access, it’s worth contacting the railway before your visit.

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

You will find all you need in our modern fully equipped kitchens, including a microwave.

Is there a 24-hour service?

Our park receptions are open throughout the day. Local opening hours and 24/7 emergency contact numbers will be provided upon check-in.

Is there a cash point on the parks?

There are no cash points at Coast & Country. However, we accept card and contactless payments in our shop and reception.

Is there an additional charge for bringing a dog?

Yes, there is a small additional fee per dog when booking your stay. This helps us maintain our dog-friendly facilities and outdoor spaces for everyone to enjoy.

What are site fees?

Site fees are an annual charge when owning a holiday home that assist with the smooth running of the holiday park. They cover things like the security and maintenance of the grounds and waste management.

What are the average running costs of a static caravan in the UK?

Running costs vary depending on the park and holiday home, but typically include:

What are the best buggy or pram-friendly walks on Exmoor?

What are the ownership running costs?

Your only costs to ownership are your utilities and insurance. We also offer WIFI as an additional cost, but it is completely optional if you don’t want it.

What can happen if I swallow the hot tub water?

Do not immerse your head or swallow the water, as this can increase the risk of an infection.

What costs are there if I decide to sell?

There are no upfront costs when selling for things like marketing. Our commission for selling your holiday home is only due once the sale has been completed.

What day can I start my holiday?

Glamping, camping and touring pitches can be any day.

Static caravans are Monday or Friday, either 3, 4 or 7 night breaks. During high season we have two units available for Saturday – Saturday Holidays.

What do I need to know before I arrive for my holiday?

What do the buttons do on our hot tub?

Please do not press any buttons on the control panel other than to turn on the lights and jets.

It is possible to put your hot tub into a sleep mode (eco mode) which will result in a loss of temperature.

What does Exmoor’s Dark Sky Reserve status mean?

Exmoor was Europe’s first International Dark Sky Reserve, recognised for having some of the darkest skies in the country.

For visitors, this means:

• Thousands of visible stars on clear nights.
• Excellent opportunities to see the Milky Way.

What happens if we arrive late?

Please let Reception know as soon as possible if you believe you will arrive after 6:00pm to enable us to make arrangements to cater for your arrival.

What is included in the price?

Our prices include transport, siting, connections, safety tests and inspections and tv aerial installation. All of our holiday caravans and lodges come fully furnished with high quality appliances. For the majority of our caravans and lodges, we also include the cost of brand-new decking. If decking is not included, we will notify you when viewing.

What is the maximum number that can use the hot tub at once?

Please don’t exceed the maximum number of people that the hot tub was designed for.

Maximum bather capacity is 4-6 people.

What is the smoking policy on the park?

We operate a no smoking policy in all buildings and around our play area. We also ask that you not smoke within 15ft of any building entrance.

When smoking around the park, please take care not to smoke too close to fire hazards such as gas canisters, and please remember not to litter.

Smoking is prohibited inside any of our holiday accommodation and charges may apply if this rule is breached.

What should I do if I feel unwell in the hot tub?

If you feel unwell or experience breathing difficulties, discontinue use of the hot tub and seek medical advice.

What should I do if we have a problem or complaint?

We do all we can to make sure you enjoy your holiday but sometimes things may go wrong.

If this happens, please contact Reception straight away and we will try and put things right.

What should we do if we have concerns about the hot tub?

Please contact park staff if you think your hot tub has been contaminated or if you have any concerns or problems with your hot tub.

What’s the difference between a static caravan and a timeshare?

Owning a static caravan means you purchase your own holiday home on a holiday park and can enjoy it whenever the park is open.

A timeshare gives you the right to use a property during allocated weeks each year but you don’t own the individual holiday home.

Static caravan ownership offers much greater flexibility and a place that’s yours to personalise.

When is C&C open?

Opening dates vary between park, but they are generally open from March through to January.

Please ask at Reception for the exact closing date for the year as this may vary slightly depending on local events.

Why is there a flood memorial in Lynmouth?

The memorial commemorates the devastating Lynmouth Flood of 1952.

Following exceptionally heavy rainfall, rivers burst their banks causing one of Britain’s worst natural disasters. Thirty-four people sadly lost their lives and much of the village was destroyed.

Today the memorial remembers those affected while highlighting how Lynmouth was rebuilt. Visitors can also explore the Lynmouth Flood Memorial Hall to learn more about this important part of local history.
