Neat little museum at the heart of Plymouth! 3 exhibitions currently with lots of info about the history and value of Plymouth through the years!

The mammoth exhibition is particularly cool.

It was the first time I'd visited Plymouth Museum since I was a child (I'm 60 now), so it was a surprise to see the changes. It's a lot smaller than it used to be, but the exhibitions are far more interactive than the boxes of artifacts that I remember from my childhood. It was full of families with engaged children; just what you want museums to encourage. The cafe was excellent too, and VERY busy.

Great place to visit, plenty of interesting items to look at and a great place for kids 😀 cafe is a bit expensive but good food. Having to return as we couldn't see it all on the day. 🙂 Went to the box again to finish off where we went last time. Went to the top floor and it was fantastic 😊 lot's to see and the tapestries were brilliant, found all the hidden items in them. Great history around Plymouth would recommend the box 😁

In this eautiful building from 1910 you can find an interesting " for all the family" exhibitions about Plymouth's history and prehistoric history, a small nature museum style exhibition which is very interesting and a modern art one too. Free admission, nice cafe, pleasent staff , absolutely perfect. Highly recommend visit.
