Our classic bar menu offers all the usual favourites, a selection of salads, jacket potatoes, sandwiches through to fish and chips, lasagne, scampi and freshly topped pizzas

We don’t forget the kids too, We have a great range of all their favourite dishes

Daily specials with that home cooked feel are also available classic winter warmers or lighter summer dishes, using as far as possible locally sourced ingredients from local suppliers

We are proud of our roots and serve a range of ales from the St Austell brewery from Cornwall, alongside cask ales and other draught beers from further afield

Don’t miss our Sunday roasts served with a good selection of fresh vegetables and homemade Yorkshire puddings, a firm favourite with guests, locals and visitors

We attended The Crown at short notice after being let down by another venue on New Years Eve.
Both the service and food were excellent and extremely good value. Everything tasted fresh and was perfectly cooked.
The atmosphere is extremely friendly and welcoming.
We will definitely be recommending to friends and family in the area

Thank you to all the staff who work here its rear to stay in a hotel where your made to feel like you are a guest in a friend's home but here they have made us feel so welcome.
4 star is only because there were some issue with the first room but understandable in a 280 year old pub and moved quickly to a new room 6 stars for friendly service and great pub grub.

Had a great 2 day stay, great value deal. A very warm welcome from Paul and Jo. Room had everything we needed, coffee and tea making and lovely towels.
Good selection of ales at the bar, and dinner was excellent (I had burger).
Breakfast was superb, great buffet fruit and cereal and very good full English.
Definitely would return.

Visited a number of times whilst staying in the area. Tonight we enjoyed a hot meal along with our beers. We shared a pizza and halloumi fries, gorgeous. Food was hot and tasty. The hospitality of the staff was warm and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Spent two nights at the Crown. Brilliant atmosphere as we entered the pub, a great welcome. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was particularly comfortable.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was excellent, with wide selection. We ate a Sunday dinner - again excellent.
We wish Jo and Paul all the best for the future and hope to return again soon.
