We were visiting from Exeter and staying at a local Air BnB who recommended the Monday £5 meal deal. The pub was family-friendly and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. We only waited 10 minutes for our food to arrive. The veggie burger was very tasty and so was the homemade coleslaw. A range of dishes were available on the £5 Monday meal deal, including chicken korma, chicken and mushroom pie, chilli, veggie burger and chips with coleslaw. A good range of meals served with care. We found the pub to be really friendly and would definitely go again. We were very impressed with the customer service. Thank you very much!

The White Hart is a real gem of a country pub. Set above the Tamar Valley, it has a cosy, welcoming feel inside and some lovely views outside if the weather’s kind. The staff are warm and genuinely friendly, which makes the whole experience more relaxed.New owners Andrew and Lisa along with the bar and waiting staff go above and beyond and will do there utmost to accommodate individual requirements.Food is really good with a menu that has something for everyone, all cooked with care using fresh ingredients.Portions are generous, everything we tried was delicious.Great spot for a meal, whether your after a classic pub dish or Sunday roast.

Holidaying in the area so don’t know the pubs yet. People said they did a good carvery so we booked to go. The food was ok, the meat was the best bit, nice beef, gammon & turkey. The roast potatoes were a bit hard and the mashed swede bland. Roast parsnips floppy not crispy. Just all needed some seasoning. Very hot, no windows open and service very slow to pay. Lovely ginger sponge for pud, clotted cream bit small, pud to cream ratio stingy. Not sure I would rush back but also wasn’t terrible.

Went here for a wedding meal. We didn't book anything special, just a very simple meal with family. However, off their own back, the owners beautifully decorated the balcony for our meal. They literally went above and beyond all of our expectations. The food was delicious!!! I had lasagne and salad - the homemade lasagne was so yummy, but the salad was absolutely amazing!! It came with a large portion of chips too. I absolutely recommend this pub, the atmosphere is lovely, the food is yummy and the staff are welcoming and friendly!! BRILLIANT!!

A really nice and proper country pub set in a beautiful area in the south west. Stunning views from the balcony across the Tamar Valley with Dartmoor in the distance, I could even see Brentor church.

As for the beer and food, there were 3 ales available of which I tried 2 and they were great. We both had fish pie which was reasonably priced. I have to say that it was probably the nicest fish pie I'd ever eaten in a pub or restaurant, well recommended!
