Dog Friendly Holidays in Devon & Cornwall:
Why We Welcomed Every Dog!
For so many of us, a holiday simply wouldn’t feel complete without our four-legged best friend by our side. Whether it’s sandy beach walks at sunrise, countryside adventures through rolling hills, or cosy evenings relaxing in a hot tub after a day exploring, dogs are part of the family and they deserve to enjoy the getaway too.
That’s exactly why Coast & Country Parks made the decision to become completely dog-friendly across our parks and stays. We wanted to create somewhere guests never have to choose between taking a holiday and bringing their dog along for the adventure.
Holidays Are Better With Dogs
There’s something special about watching your dog experience somewhere new. From the excitement of discovering woodland trails to running freely along the coastline, holidays become even more memorable when shared together.
Over the years, we noticed more and more guests asking for pet-friendly stays, not because they simply wanted accommodation that “allowed dogs”, but because they wanted places that genuinely welcomed them and our parks do just that. Families didn’t want their dog to feel like an afterthought; they wanted them to be part of the holiday from start to finish.
Exploring Devon & Cornwall Together
One of the biggest reasons we embraced dog-friendly holidays is because Devon and Cornwall are made for them. From dramatic coastal paths and hidden coves to countryside pubs and scenic woodland walks, there are endless adventures waiting right on our doorstep.
Many of our parks are perfectly positioned near some of the South West’s best walking routes, beaches, and nature spots, making it easy for guests to explore with their dogs throughout every season.
Whether it’s a peaceful morning walk in Lynmouth & Lynton, a coastal adventure around south-east Cornwall, or discovering hidden trails around the coastal path, there’s always somewhere new to explore together.

Designed for Real Dog-Friendly Stays
Being dog friendly is about far more than simply saying “pets allowed.”
We wanted our stays to feel practical, comfortable, and stress-free for dog owners too. That means spacious accommodation, outdoor areas to relax in, easy access to walking routes, and parks where muddy paws and post-adventure naps are all part of the experience.
Whether guests choose a cosy glamping pod, a luxury safari tent with hot tub, or a countryside lodge retreat, we wanted every stay to feel welcoming for the whole family; dogs included.
Creating More Memorable Family Holidays
Some of the best holiday moments happen unexpectedly:
a spontaneous beach walk at sunset, sitting outside together after a long day exploring, or watching your dog happily settle into holiday life alongside you.
By becoming fully dog friendly, we’ve been able to help guests create more shared experiences and lasting memories without the stress of arranging kennels, pet sitters, or leaving loved pets behind.
For many guests, dogs aren’t just pets; they’re part of the family tradition of getting away together.
