A delightful set of stepping stones at Swincombe Meet, where the River Swincombe meets the West Dart, near Sherberton Farm. Please note that these stones can only be crossed after a dry spell – after rainfall they will be partially or entirely submerged and therefore unsafe to cross.

This spot has become popular with photographers who try to frame the stepping stones with Sherberton Firs in the background.

Sherberton stepping stones nr Sherberton farm. Total peace here and fun for the kids. Bit of a leg stretch but well worth it

A beautiful setting and very friendly hosts. We were very comfortable during our stay. Great walks nearby without having to get in the car, but only a short drive from most of Dartmoor's sights and hidden treasures.
